The client need.

The Dance Floor is a boutique fitness studio in Albany, CA with a vibrant, devoted community and an existing brand identity to match. Moving into a new phase of the business, owner Gitanjali Morris wanted the building's exterior to finally reflect what was happening inside: something energetic, welcoming, and impossible to walk past without noticing.

The stucco frontage was large, plain, and doing nothing for the studio's street presence. On a busy commercial corridor like Solano Avenue, standing out matters. She wanted her storefront to earn attention from pedestrians and drivers from across the street while celebrating her brand and community.

The creative solution.

The design translates The Dance Floor's terrazzo-inspired brand identity directly onto the building's exterior: joyful, cohesive, and built to last on rough outdoor stucco. Scattered geometric shapes in coral, sage, and teal move across the frontage in the same visual language as the studio's existing logo. The hand-painted lettering was scaled deliberately to be legible from across Solano Avenue, bold enough to stop someone mid-stride, while still feeling at home within the character of the building.
